How long have you been in business?
Oregon Studio Group has been in business around 12 years, though its owner, John has been experienced in photography for over 25 years.
Would you meet up with us before we book?
Absolutely! It’s much easier for us to get a good idea of what you envision from your wedding photos if we’re able to meet in person first. We actually require that clients have a casual meet-and-greet with us prior to booking a wedding photography package. This ensures that we know what you’re expecting, and you know what you can expect from us too!
How much are your travel fees?
Travel fees vary depending on location and whether lodging is required for the photographer to attend your wedding. We will be glad to chat some more about this in person.
Do you offer payment plans?
Yes! We require a 30% retainer fee to secure your wedding date. This retainer is non-refundable, which is generally standard for the industry. The remainder of the balance can be split into payments as long as the final payment is made no later than 30 days prior to your event.
Will you do a walkthrough with us at our venue?
We would love to! Though it isn’t required, it does give us a great opportunity to visualize how you’ll be setting up the venue for your wedding. This helps us to anticipate the best places for the photographer to capture your moments!
Do you Photoshop images?
Yes, basic retouching is done to all of our images. Examples of basic retouches would be lighting adjustments, color balancing, and skin softening. We do not do heavy photoshopping such as slimming bodies.
What if you get sick or can’t show up to our wedding/session?
In the event that we are unable to attend your wedding, we will make every effort to provide a suitable replacement photographer to capture your memories!
Do we receive the RAW image files?
No. There are a few reasons for this. Unedited photos are often saved as a file type that most devices are unable to open without special software. The raw files are also extremely large and would take up a LOT of space on your device. We also pride ourselves on providing our clients with our best work! Providing unedited photos could reflect poorly on our work and wouldn’t give you the best possible photos. All of the images you’ll receive from us will be top notch quality!
What if we are not comfortable with our images being shared online/social media?
Of course we love updating our social media with pictures of beautiful weddings, BUT if you’re not comfortable with your photos being shared, then that’s totally OK! We only share photos with the permission of our clients.
I don’t know what to wear! Can you help?
Sure! We’re glad to give you some suggestions for outfits for your engagement photos (we’re sure you already have an idea about a wedding dress and tux for the wedding day!)

Good question! Aside from beautiful photography, you can be confident knowing that we pride ourselves on going above and beyond for our clients! You are the most important thing to us, and we will strive to make sure we can capture your wedding festivities to the absolute best of our abilities.

Do you work with other photographers?
Upon the signing of our wedding photography contract, it is mutually agreed that Oregon Studio Group will be the exclusive photographer at your event. There can be a lot of confusion and missed photo opportunities when more than one photography team gets involved. All of our photography packages include a second photographer, so you can be confident that we’ll be able to capture your wedding beautifully in photos!
Do I need a second shooter?
Sometimes it’s not needed, but we often find that having a second shooter decreases the likelihood of missing special moments that only happen once in a lifetime! That’s why we are proud to offer a second photographer in each of our photography packages to fully capture your event!
What happens if my venue is dark?
That’s OK! We do ask that you let us know in advance if your venue will be dark so that we are able to make sure we bring the proper lighting and accessories to get the best photos possible!
How long must we wait before we receive our images?
Your photos will typically be professionally edited and ready to give to you about 6-8 weeks after your wedding date.
Do you make wedding albums?
Yes, we have beautiful 8x8 albums available with luxurious covers! An album is included with some of our packages. We also have a variety of other items available such as prints to frame, canvas prints, and even metal or acrylic prints!
Can we receive the copyright to our wedding images?
The copyright to the images is retained by Oregon Studio Group. However, you will be given a print release which will allow you to print and share your photos as you wish!
Do you offer engagement sessions?
We do! A complimentary engagement photo shoot is included with some of our wedding packages. We also offer engagement photo sessions separately if you wish to add one on! You can view our pricing here.
Do you need us to provide you with a shot list?
It’s not necessary to provide us with a shot list. We have a basic checklist for you to choose from within your initial questionnaire that will help us know what posed photos you’d like. Aside from that, we will capture all of the most iconic moments of a wedding such as the kiss, the bouquet toss, and so much more. We also believe that some of the best moments are often captured outside of those moments, without a list!
Do you have insurance, and can you provide it to our venue?
Yes, we carry insurance and are able to provide proof to your venue upon request.

Yay, we can’t wait! Get in touch with us and we’ll be glad to set you up with a consultation to chat about your wedding and booking your date! We ask that couples plan on around an hour for these consultations.
Our Oregon Wedding Photography packages start at $1700.
We start with an initial complimentary meeting to discuss the goals for your photographs as well as go over a wedding questionnaire that helps us get a better understanding of you and your event. A 30% deposit is required to book your wedding date.
